One of the towns most famous neighbourhoods, Stonehaven-Wyndham-Copper Hills, is southeast of downtown and home the original Stronach Farm that once belonged to Frank Stronach can be found on a tour of Stonehaven-Wyndham and Copper Hills homes in Newmarket.

The community strives to maintain its historical reputation, so new construction is minimal. The streets of Stonehaven-Wyndham are lined with stately homes. Popular architectural styles include Georgian Revival and Tudor.

In addition to its homes, Stonehaven has plenty of shopping and dining options. Most of the neighbourhood's commercial and retail spaces are on bustling Bayview Avenue. Chocolats FavorisCOBS Bread and Kelsey's are three such spots.

With all the neighbourhood has to offer, it comes as no surprise that homes here have a higher-than-average price tag. Homes for sale in Stonehaven-Wyndham often cost between $1,300,000 and $3 million.

These properties start over 2,200 square feet to well over 5,000 square feet with spacious interiors, three or more bedrooms, and more than two bathrooms. Condo townhomes come with a price tag, typically selling for between $1,300,000 and up.

Glenway Estates

Glenway Estates is centrally located off Yonge Street. This neighbourhood enjoys convenient access to shopping, transit and a variety of schools making it an excellent choice for families. Neighbourhood landmarks include Upper Canada Mall, York Region Administrative Centre, Newmarket Courthouse, the historic Quakers Meeting House and the Ray Twinney Recreational Complex. 

The Newmarket Bus Terminal located at 320 Eagle Street just south of Davis Drive provides commuters with many options on the Go Transit, York Transit and Viva Transit Lines.

While Glenway Estates is a desirable neighbourhood in the town, residents will be happy to know a wide range of housing options are available. Glenway Estates homes for sale cost between $1,000,000 and $2.4 million.  


Summerhill Estates

Summerhill Estates is situated in the southwest section of Newmarket. It is bordered by Yonge Street on the east and Bathurst Street on the west. Formal stone entranceway markers etched with the name Summerhill are located off Mulock Drive at Doubletree Lane and at Sawmill Valley Drive. Summerhill Centre, a small shopping plaza off Yonge Street and Whipper Watson Park at Clearmeadow Boulevard are popular neighbourhood destinations. The landmark Mulock Farm located at the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Mulock Drive has been purchased by the Town of Newmarket and will eventually become a prized community park and green space. 

One of the best locations in Newmarket, the neighbourhood offers Summerhill Centre is a small shopping plaza conveniently located off Yonge Street at Clearmeadow Boulevard. This neighbourhood landmark is anchored by a Rexall drugstore and includes a dentist, optometrist, a walk in family clinic, a fitness studio, a jeweller and restaurants.  Prices for Summerhill Estates typically start around $1,000,000 and can be as much as $2 million. 

Summerhill north of Mulock Drive and Summerhill South are marked by formal stone entranceways along Mulock Drive. Most of the houses were built in the early 2000s and include a mix of detached and semi-detached homes as well as townhomes. The houses are all brick and include one or two garages built in garages. This is a high density neighbourhood with houses situated in close proximity to one another however; the streetscapes are very pretty with long and winding roads, a network of sidewalks, and lots of parks and green space that create nice open vistas.

Whipper Watson Park off Clearmeadow Boulevard is a pretty park in a forest like setting. Amenities include a children’s playground and a splash pad as well as a baseball diamond. In the wintertime this park has a popular outdoor community ice rink. The John F. Smith Trail located on the south side of Mulock Drive is a popular spot for joggers and cyclists.

Woodland Hill

Woodland Hill is located at the north end of Newmarket. A pair of faux stone markers on the west side of Yonge Street at Aspenwood Drive mark the formal entranceway into this neighbourhood. Woodland Hill as its name would imply is situated on a prominent rise of land with a very hilly topography and small pockets of densely treed forest. Neighbourhood destinations include the sprawling Woodland Hills shopping plaza that stretches along Yonge Street, and the Upper Canada Mall. Other neighbourhood landmarks include: Environmental Park, Dave Kerwin Trail and Woodland Hill Labyrinth Park.

Woodland Hill has a good mix of semi-detached and detached homes. The houses are all brick and built in the early 2000s. Every home has an attached or built-in garage. The streetscape includes sidewalks lined with street lamps. The traffic calmed streets include bicycle lanes.

With just under 12,500 residents, the neighbourhood itself is intimate and primarily residential. Woodland Hills most popular hotspots are the Keg, Zucca's Ristorante & Pizzeria and Solo Sushi Ya.

Woodland Hill real estate is costly, but it's not the most expensive neighbourhood in Newmarket. Most single-family home prices start at $1,000,000 and can be as much as $2,000,000. Homes are gorgeous and spacious and frequently with breathtaking views of Environmental Park.

Gorham-College Manor

Gorham Street and College Manor Drive are the main streets that bisect this neighbourhood hence the name Gorham-College Manor. Gorham Street is named in honour of a prominent Newmarket pioneer family while College Manor makes reference to Pickering College a highly respected private school that has held a prominent place in this community since 1909.

This neighbourhood is bordered on the west by Newmarket’s historic downtown and on the east by the Newmarket Industrial Park. Gorham-College Manor is formerly a working class neighbourhood in transition as new families have begun to move in and fix up the older housing stock.

Further signs of gentrification are the custom built infill homes that are slowly starting to spring up on the generous size lots that abound in this neighbourhood. Gorham College Manor is a perfect neighbourhood for commuters with the Davis Drive on-ramp for Highway 404 situated just minutes away. Neighbourhood landmarks include: Southlake Regional Health Centre, Pickering College, Newmarket High School, Scared Heart Catholic School, College Manor Park, Fairgrounds Park, Bogart Pond.and the East Holland River.

Concordia College is a prominent liberal arts college that serves close to 1,500 students and offers more than 50 majors. Nearby, the University of St. Thomas has a sprawling campus that takes up over 80 acres. A student body of nearly 10,000 students, making it the largest private university in Minnesota.

There is plenty to love about the Gorham-College Manor real estate. Most single-family properties sell for between $900,000 and $1,800,000.

Bristol-London Road


Bristol-London is an established family oriented neighbourhood located at the north end of Newmarket. The west boundary is the bustling Yonge Street urban corridor which is in stark contrast to the eastern boundary that abuts a conservation area and parkland. To the south of Bristol-London is downtown Newmarket and to the north is the Town of East Gwillimbury.

The York Region Newmarket water tower situated next to the Yonge Crest Centre on Yonge Street quite literally towers over the neighbourhood – please pardon the pun . Other neighbourhood landmarks include Proctor Park off London Road, and John M. Denison Secondary School off Bristol Road. The Denne woodlot and Marilyn Powell Park located in the east part of the neighbourhood provide green space and recreational opportunities for residents

Homes for sale in Bristol-London Road are slightly more expensive than the average Newmarket home, with single-family properties selling for between $1,000,000 and $1,400,000. 

Bristol-London consists of detached modest entry-level houses that typically have a double car garage out front. Exteriors are brick and sometimes a combination of brick and frame siding.

There are also many homes that feature Tudor Revival designs with large street facing gables accented with half timbering.n addition to their beautifully-built exteriors, most homes in the area have more than 2,000 square feet of living space, three or more bedrooms, and multiple bathrooms.

Several restaurants and retail spaces in the neighbourhood, including local favourites The Works Burger, Golden 7 Restaurant, and Swiss Chalet. The eclectic culture of the neighbourhood lends itself to the huge range of restaurants and cuisines available to residents.

Huron Heights Leslie Valley

Huron Heights Leslie Valley  is situated in the northeast part of Newmarket. Like most of Newmarket the topography is hilly with a green corridor created by the East Holland River watershed. Huron Heights Drive and Leslie Valley Drive are two of the main arterial roadways that wind their way through the neighbourhood.

This is an affordable entry level neighbourhood with excellent schools and access to nature and parkland including the Nokiidaa Bike Trail. The pastoral farm land immediately to the north is the neighbouring Town of East Gwillimbury. To the east of Leslie Street is the Newmarket Industrial Park. Green Lane is the busy stretch of road just to the north of this neighbourhood that connects commuters to Highway 404.

There is also a Go Train Station at 845 Green Lane East making this an ideal neighbourhood for commuters. Huron Heights Secondary School has a highly regarded arts program called Arts Huron that attracts students from all over Newmarket and other parts of York Region who must audition and try out for acceptance into the program.

The homes around Leslie Valley Drive are typical brick detached subdivision homes with street facing front gables and a garage in front of the home. Most of these houses are detached and similar in size. These homes are affordable as they are now a few decades removed from when they were first built and therefore may need some updating.

The Huron Heights enclave features houses that date mostly from the 1960s and 70s. These include small family bungalows, brick split-level and ranch style bungalows and Colonial revival homes. There are pockets of newer entry level townhomes as well.

Huron Heights Leslie Valley homes for sale are significantly more common in the area than single-family homes. Downtown St. Paul real estate prices range from $800,000 to $1.5 million.
