Tips For Creating & Improving Your Real Estate Videos

I REALLY DO NOT like being on camera…

I don’t like the way I look on camera…

I don’t like the way I sound…

and I definitely don’t like putting myself on video on social media where people can hurl negativity and crap behind their computers…

So what am I doing here…

Thankfully I have people in my life that help to push me out of my comfort zone and get me to do the things that I need to do to not only to achieve my goals but help the people around me achieve their goals.

If you’re not doing using video in your business you need to start.

It doesn’t have to be perfect I used to think the light needed to be right, sound needed to be perfect, what about the back drop, how do I look...

Don’t overthink it.

I have a DSLR camera, mic, light set up in the room next to me and this is being shot on my iPhone.

If you’ve got an idea get it on video and get it out there it doesn’t have to perfect.

You can ask some of the people i work with…

I would come in on the weekend, sit and do 40,50,60 takes on a video because I flubbed a couple of words or I thought I looked weird...

What a waste of time…

If you’re doing video, there’s a couple things you can do to make the most of what you’re putting out…

First, start with a hook, don’t start your name, your company your team - you’ve got 3 seconds before that person is going to scroll right past you we’re how far into this video and I haven’t even said my name⁉️

Second, put the text from your video in the post… write it out, have it transcribed how ever you want to do it… put the copy in the post.  Some people would rather read it than watch it.

Third, captions - 85% of video is watched with the sound OFF. If it’s just you moving on the screen there’s a good chance they aren’t getting your message.
